Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with oval face and slender throat, blonde sculpted centerparted hair in pageboy curls held by sculpted and painted black snood which is decorated with a wide black headband accented with large bows at each side of face, stitch-jointed muslin body, bisque lower arms, lovely antique costume including lace-trimmed fichu. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: elegant presence of solemn-faced lady with rare snood accentuated by large bows.
