Description
18" (46 cm.) l. x 9"h. x 9"d. A firm-sided room is constructed with unusual angled corners
with reflective tin sheets (to suggest windows) under the lace curtains,and has original wall
and floor papers. The windows have original patterned rose silk draperies and valances with
lace edging and the set of parlor furniture is covered in the same rose silk fabric. The walls are
decorated with four unusual paper medallions with purple background and white dancing
figures,to suggest cameo carvings,and the furniture comprises painted white wood fireplace
with mirror,piano with stool,side cabinet,fernery with flowers,dressing table,parlor
table,settee,two arm chairs and two side chairs. Accessories included domed figure of little
bisque boy,silvered clock with gilt metal figure,and flowers. There are three bisque miniature
dolls,two with swivel head,all with glass cobalt byes and fine antique costumes. Excellent
condition. For the French market,circa 1880.
