Description
19" (48 cm.) l. x 13" x 12". A wooden framed store front with hinged-display windows in the classic Hacker manner has original painted gilt-bronze finish with cream columns and two painted panels below the display windows,The back wall has five arched display niches,separated by fancy columns,and with tin mirrored shelves,and there are carved panels with decoupage below. The store is fitted with fabrics,miniature bonnets on stands,a pair of gilded bronze salon chairs,mirror,early silk mignonette dress,and various fabrics and accessories for costumes or millinery. There are three miniature bisque dolls in the store including a boy and girl pair in their original knit costumes. Excellent condition. Germany,attributed to Christian Hacker,circa 1885,for the French market.
