14" (36 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features,small shaded brown
upper glancing eyes,brown and black upper eyeliner,single-stroke brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth,wheat-blonde human hair wig in bangs and short curls,stitch-jointed
arms,slender torso,disc-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent,small lip rub. Marks:
Kathe Kruse 1 30505 (left foot) Made in Germany US Zone (right foot and box label).
Comments: Kathe Kruse,Type IX,1952. Value Points: most charming petulant expression with
beautiful painting,the doll wears her original sheer nylon silk dress with smocking and polka
dots,slip,panties,shoes and socks and coronet of flowers,and is preserved in her original
(worn) box along with a booklet from a toy store in Munich where the doll was originally
sold,noting that this doll was created in 1952,the 40th anniversary of Kathe Kruse Puppen.
