Earthenware shoulder head with oval face inclined upward,elongated strong throat,brown sculpted hair in long flowing curls,inset enamel eyes,painted features,accented nostrils,slightly parted lips with sculpted teeth,hemp-wrapped body,earthenware lower arms with very expressively posed fingers,bare feet with wrapped sandal straps,silk costume partially original. Condition: generally excellent,some aging patina of finish. Comments: Italian,Neopolitan,early/mid-19th century. Value Points: very expressive features,original finish,beautiful hair and hands,rare large size.
