Description
24" (61 cm.) doll. Presented in a wicker baby basket whose lavish blankets disguise an
electrical mechanical device that causes the baby to turn its head from side to side and wave
its arms,is a bisque-head doll with brown glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,dark
eyeliner,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,open mouth,two porcelain
teeth,shaded and accented lips,brunette human hair,composition bent limb baby
body,wearing beautiful antique baby costume and holding a rattle. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Q made in Germany 20 Germany JDK 1914./ c. Hilda Ges Gesch N 1070
Comments: Kestner,circa 1916,the life-size rare baby was incorporated into an exhibition
store display,likely in a luxury baby boutique considering the deluxe nature of the doll model.
Value Points: very rare mechanical presentation may be the only to exist.
