Description
18" (46 cm.) Very firm sculpted head with flat-cut neck socket, brown sculpted hair with deeply sculpted forelock curls, brown painted eyes, black upper eyeliner, brown eye shadow, white eyedots, accented nostrils, closed mouth, plump cheeks, well-sculpted ears, stretched twill over paper mache torso and legs, composition arms, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Gunther Heine, circa 1921, of Bad Kosen (same village as Kathe Kruse factory), who advertised art dolls "as beautiful and vital as a natural child". Value Points: rarely found model with artistic modeling of features and expression.
