Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated facial modeling, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, elongated nose with rounded tip, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with center accent framed by lip dimples, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, body not original but appropriate and of the period. Marks: F.R. 5 (head). Comments: Falck & Roussel, circa 1890, the short-lived firm created few dolls of this quality, rendering them quite rare. Value Points: beautiful wide-eyed expression on the long-faced model, lovely antique silk costume and bonnet.
