25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated face and full lower cheeks,painted blue eyes with
dark upper eyeliner,one stroke tapered brows,accented nosrils,closed mouth with nicely shaded
and outlined lips,auburn mohair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,wearing antique
sailor costume,undergarments,stockings and shoes. Condition: one-piece large face break and
reglue with overpaint. Marks: 150 S&H 4. (head) Heinrich Handwerck Germany 4 (body).
Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1910,from their very rare art character reform series. Value
Points: the rarity of the doll is enhanced by her fine large size and superb characterization.
