30" (76 cm.) Bisque swivel head with very full modeling of cheeks and throat,on kid-edged
bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades,blue glass enamel inset eyes
with rich spiral-threading,thick dark eyeliner,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented eye
corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth modeled as though open with row of painted
teeth,plump kid bebe body with kid-jointing,bisque lower arms and hands,fine antique
costume in cream knit with aqua silk ribbons,undergarments,aqua socks,shoes,fancy bonnet.
Condition: generally excellent,one left finger tip broken off. Marks: (circle/dot symbol on
head) (original Bru paper label on torso). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1880,the model
known as "circle/dot". Value Points: splendid large size of the stunningly-beautiful doll with
finest bisque and painting,gorgeous eyes,rare painted teeth,very sturdy original body and fine
antique costume.
