17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted head,three seams at back of head,brown
boyish hair with forelock curls and detailed tendrils,blushed ears,painted green/brown eyes with
spiral details and white accent dots,black and brown upper eyeliner,accented nostrils,closed
mouth with downcast pouting expression,stitch-jointed arms,separately-stitched thumbs,disc-
jointed legs with five leg seams. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 46614 (left
foot) Made in Germany (right foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse,c. 1915. Value Points: preserved in
pristine,near mint,condition with superb detail of facial sculpting,finest original painting,and
wearing original costume comprising white shirt,striped shorts,red woven stockings,woven shoes
and hat,and blue linen pinafore with red dot embroidery.
