Bisque socket head,very large and deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes,lushly- painted lashes,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accented lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Mascotte 0 (head) Bebe Mascotte Paris (body). Comments: May Freres,circa 1890 when the trademark was filed for the Bebe Mascotte name; the dolls were made for a few years only. Value Points: very rare to find bebe with original signed and matched head and body,gorgeous dramatic eyes,wearing antique silk dress and matching bonnet,socks and shoes which are all likely original.
