20" (51 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with very pale bisque,wide almond-shaped blue glass
paperweight eyes with spiral threading,dark eyeliner,delicately-painted lashes and brows,mauve
blushed eye shadow,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips,impressed lip
corners,pierced ears,cork pate,original French blonde mohair wig,plump French composition and
wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists,wearing fine early pique
dress,undergarments,bonnet,socks,and shoes. Condition: generally excellent,small chip at very
bottom of neck socket,old light retouch on arms and left leg. Marks: Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris.
Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1878,very early period bebe with very beautiful face,bisque,and
painting,fine early costume,and original early body.
