Description
36" overall length (three sections of 12"). 15"h. The wooden wall cabinets with creamy white
paint and hand-painted decorations feature architectural columns,arches,open shelves,fancy
pediments and finials,glass windows,and are filled to overflowing with antique miniature
dolls,toys,teddy bears including early miniature Schuco or Steiff,and playthings. These include
a miniature wooden theatre,bisque soldier in original red uniform,several fancily fitted
carriages including Maerklin metal carriage,wooden toys and horses including tricycle
horse,miniature wooden dolls and toys,penny toys,doll heads,and many more. There is a
matching wooden counter with painted decoration,attached lamp with silk shade,tin money
box with little tin coins,and a birdcage with the pet bird of the toy shop. Excellent condition.
The toy shop was featured in the Vienna (Austria) Spielzeug Museum until its closing in 2007.
