Description
3.5" (9 cm.) Each of the five dolls is a one-piece bisque figure of seated child with modeled
smock,blue glass inset eyes,blonde mohair wig,posed seated in playful child manner and with
various childhood activity: with ball,butterfly,binoculars,cup,or bug on arm,and facial expression
to match whether of delight or apprehension. Also included is one similar doll with painted eyes.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,probably Hertwig,circa 1900. Value Points:
the rarity of the set is rivaled by the delightful details of sculpting and actions,rare wigs and
glass eyes.
