24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated face, painted blue eyes in deeply-set sockets, thick upper eyeliner, modeled creases under the eyes, one-stroke delicate brows, slightly upturned nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth, very full lips with shaded lips enhanced with delicate glaze, blonde mohair wig in long braids, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, fine antique costume with elaborate lace and trim, undergarments, kid shoes, socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 150 S&H 3. Comments: Simon and Halbig from their rare three-model art character series, circa 1910. Value Points: very rare model depicting a pensive-faced older child is enhanced by superlative modeling and painting of features, original body and body finish; this is believed to be the largest size made of the rare model.
