13" (33 cm.) Pressed felt head with center seam,blue glass bead eyes,painted brows,eye
dots,nostril accents,lips and moustache,painted hair,firmly-stuffed slender body with jointing at
shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Steiff,circa 1916,depicting
infantryman in field uniform. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved doll wearing amazingly-
complete original costume comprising helmet with leather strap,taupe woolen uniform with red
edging,buttons,brown boots,belt with wooden "ammunition",canvas bag,canteen,backpack with
attached blanket and leather pouch,and original wooden and metal rifle with leather strap.
