15" (38 cm.) All-wooden carved polychromed figure of lady having side-tilted oval face, strong throat, brown carved hair drawn from face into softly-rolled curls captured in casual knot at the back of head, and with tumbling curls onto her nape, inset enamel eyes, rounded nose tip, slightly-parted lips with painted teeth, one-piece head and torso, mortise and tenon-jointing at shoulders, elbows, and hips, painted black ankle boots. Condition: generally excellent. Genoese, mid-1700s, attributed to the workshops of Pasquale Navone, wearing original laced vest over silk gown.
