inset eyes,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth
with accented lips,ears pierced into head,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,French kid
poupee body with shapely torso,gusset-jointing at elbows,hips and knees,stitched and
separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent,body especially sturdy and clean. Comments:
French,circa 1865. Value Points: fine unplayed with and fresh condition of the dainty poupee
with original wig,pate,and body,she is preserved with her original trunk with cast brass
hardware,black and red leather covering,and unusual mauve-paper lined trunk with fabric lift
out tray and bonnet holder. She is wearing her original undergarments,cap,and leather ankle
boots incized 2,and owns a white knitted day dress,black and white wool two piece
dress,superb blue silk gown with elaborately constructed back,four fine bonnets,bone-
handled parasol,black woven snood,sewing necessaire of aqua silk,gilt purse,bustle and a few
other sundries.
