13" (33 cm.) Each doll has mask-pressed face with arch-shaped large side-glancing googly
eyes,black outline around the eyes,four curly upper lashes,button-shaped nose with red
blush tip,small s-curved mouth,chubby blushed cheeks,peach muslin stitch-jointed body
with sewn-on striped stockings; the girl with blonde yarn hair braids,and red and white
striped stockings; the boy with curly red yarn hair,and blue and white stockings. Condition:
generally excellent,Susie has wear to hat and to yarn hair at back of head. Comments: "Susie
Q" ( or "Bobby Q") Madame Alexander New York. Comments: Alexander,circa 1935. Value
Points: the dolls wear their original felt and costumes,and were the childhood property of
child film star,Jane Withers; included is a photograph of Withers with her doll collection
including these dolls,and a signed certificate attesting that the dolls once belonged to her.
