10" (25 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with black sculpted hair in short curls,painted facial features,blue down-cast eyes,black upper eyeliner,painted single-stroke brows,closed mouth with center accent line,muslin body with porcelain lower arms and legs,painted flat black shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1870. Value Points: the doll wears her original costume of multi-layered cotton-patterned petticoats,skirt and apron. Attached is an old paper label indicating the doll was once in the collection of Louise Lund,early president of UFDC.
