When keywound, she daintily plays the piano, flitting her fingers across the keys in a realistic manner, turning her head side to side, occasionally nodding as though in time to the music, and now and then pausing for effect, while music plays. Condition: generally excellent, mechanism and music function well. Comments: Gustav Vichy, circa 1880,deluxe models as this were offered in the finest Parisian decorative arts stores such as Giroux & Cie. Value Points: the luxury quality of the rare piece is indicated by its materials such as fine exotic woods of the piano ornamented with elaborate gilt ormolu and bone piano keys, and the inclusion of the three tune music box with original paper tune label on the piano back. The doll itself is of finest quality with gorgeous wig in elaborate original coiffure.
