26" (66 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head,elongated face with very plump lower cheeks and
chin,brown glass enamel inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted lashes,mauve blushed eye
shadow,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented eye corners,shaded
nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the pale outlined lips,separately-modeled
pierced ears,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden eightloose-
ball-jointed body with straight wrists,wearing lovely antique gown with lace and silk
trim,undergarments,stockings,kidskin shoes,extravagant silk ruffled bonnet. Condition:
generally excellent,one small wig pull high at crown rim,retouch to hands and joints. Marks:
E.J.A 10 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau,his first signature
bebe,the model was made for one or two years only,circa 1880. Value Points: rich brown eyes
are dramatized by thick black eyeliner and smoky mauve eye shadow,and contrast with the
fine delicately tinted bisque of the rarely-found model.
