Bisque socket head with oval face and well-defined chin and cheek lines,almond shaped blue glass flirty eyes that operate from rare glass rod inside the head,mohair lashes,painted curly all-around lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with splendid smiling expression on the outlined lips,row of sculpted teeth,impressed dimples at lip corners,cheeks and chin,unpierced ears,brunette mohair wig,French composition and wooden ball-jointed lady body,shapely torso with modeled bosom,waist and derriere. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bebe Jumeau Diplome d'Honneur (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig's 1388 model,circa 1910,the doll's unmarked head,her original signed French lady body,and her original French silk costume suggest its original commissioned production for a luxury Parisian boutique. Value Points: very beautiful doll with superior quality of bisque,sculpting and painting,in rare large size,with original lashes,rare glass-rod flirting eyes,signed body,and wearing superb French Edwardian era costume in burgundy and magenta silk with plumed straw bonnet,undergarments,black stockings,leather shoes.
