19" (49 cm.) Bisque socket head, small brown glass sleep eyes with defined upper eyelids, thick upper eyeliner and fringe-painted upper lashes, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth modeled with slightly-parted lips as though about to speak, defined space between the lips, two painted upper teeth, blonde mohair softly-curled wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 112 49. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, from the firm's art character series. Value Points: rare glass-eyed variation of the very expressive doll, with finest modeling including impressed laughter lines around the eyes and dimpled cheeks, original body and body finish, antique red woolen coat dress in mariner style, wool cap, undergarments, shoes and socks.
