15" (38 cm.) The boxed set includes a bisque-headed doll with blueglass sleep eyes,painted
lashes and brows,accented nostrils,open mouth,four porcelain teeth,original brunette mohair
wig over plaster pate,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,muslin chemise,along with
three additional bisque heads designed to be interchangeable with the body,each head with
original soft mohair wig over plaster pate. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B made in
Germany 6 171 (doll) Germany (body) (each other bisque head marked with unique model
number). Comments: Kestner,circa 1910,the three other rare bisque heads each have painted
blue eyes and closed mouth,including (top to bottom in photo): model 182 with very full lips
and pensive expression,model 183 with smiling expression and painted teeth,and model 179
with slightly downcast lips and pouty expression. Value Points: pristine unplayed with
condition,superb preservation of original wigs and body,with flawless bisque,and in original
(worn) box with paper label having illustration of crown and "Kestner Character Doll".
