17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head with round facial modeling,large brown glass side-glancing
googly sleep eyes,thick black eyeliner,short fringed dark upper lashes,angled feathered
brows,accented nostrils of tiny upturned nose,closed mouth with impish smiling
expression,blonde mohair curly wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler
body,wearing calico cotton print dress,undergarments,red leather shoes,straw bonnet.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: G made in Germany 11 JDK 221 y Ges Gesch. (plaster
pate also marked 221). Comments: Kestner,circa 1912,their trademarked googly model that
closely resembles the glass-eyed O'Neill Kewpie that was also produced by Kestner during
this era. Value Points: wonderful large size of the delightful googly with outstanding quality
of bisque,painting and complexion,original body and body finish.
