Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome,blue glass inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,brush stroked and feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig,Sonneberg composition and wooden fully- jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 3 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1890,the doll has her original costume,nearly identical to #59,likely also the work of Johannes Franz of Sonneberg. Value Points: beautiful closed mouth child with lovely bisque,original body and body finish,wears burgundy silk dress with lace overlay,undergarments,socks,brown kidskin shoes,woven bonnet.
