18" (46 cm.) The bisque head lady with swivel head on bisque shoulder plate has blue glass enamel eyes,painted features,closed mouth,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,carton torso and legs,metal hands,and is posed standing upon a metal wheeled base that is hidden by her skirt. When wound,she glides forward,then twirls to the side,then repeats in a graceful manner,while meanwhile she alternately fans herself or gazes in the mirror. Condition: generally excellent,mechanism functions well,costume is original albeit spotted and a bit frail. Comments: Vichy,circa 1870. Value Points: the prestige luxurious automaton has elegant movements and wears her original costume.
