Description
12" (30 cm.) l. 9"h. lady. A bisque head lady with
blue glass eyes,painted lashes and brows,closed
mouth with accented lips,pierce ears,blonde mohair
wig over cork pate,carton torso,metal hands and
legs,is clasping the handle of a metal carriage
with filigree sides,and three spoked wheels; an
all-bisque mignonette baby rests in the
carriage,having cobalt blue glass enamel
eyes,painted features,closed mouth,original blonde
mohair wig,peg-jointed bisque arms and legs
painted shoes. When keywound,the lady moves her
legs forward and back as though walking,and
propels the carriage forward. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Vichy,circa 1875. Value
Points: the charming vignette mechanical toy is
all-original,the lady with (dusty) peach silk
frock and bonnet,and the baby in original long
gown with lace trim.
