Description
4" (10 cm.) Each has bisque socket head with amber
tinted complexion and painted facial
features,brown eyes,closed mouth,arched
brows,amber-tinted five-piece paper mache body
with painted pointy-toe slippers,wearing antique
costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
Germany,probably Simon & Halbig, circa 1890. Value
Points: fascinating study of three dolls that are
identical with variation in hair style: one with
painted pate and mohair queue,one with bald pate
and mohair queue,and the third with an
elaborately-arranged coiffure ornamented with
beads and ormolu.
