Description
11" (28 cm.) Rosewood vitrine with fine detail of
cabinetry including beautifully-chosen burled
veneer woods,cast bronze braid decoration framing
the window front and forming medallions,with
cascading garlands at the sides and bronze edging
at the top. With lock and key,and velvet-lined
interior. The cabinet is a classic example of the
superb luxury goods of Maison Giroux & Cie,the
mid-19th century decorative arts store which also
presented fine accessories for poupees. The
cabinet has a collection of eight tiny bisque and
porcelain statues of children and ladies,and a
clock with marble crest and base and two painted
vases adorn the cabinet top. Excellent condition.
