Description
25" (64 cm.) l. x 10"h. x 12"d. The wooden room
has original ochre and cream painted exterior and
facade,original lithographed paper floor to
simulate inlay woods,original wall paper with
ceiling border,and a constructed set-back area
with window. The room is furnished as a nursery
with a cream wooden one-piece "wall" having center
cloth panel flanked by cupboards on each
side,matching twin beds,dressing table,armoire,and
small chest with mirror. Additional furnishings
include a delightful silk-covered baby bed and
matching screen decorated with hand-painted
tumbling bears,a high-chair with fancy
spindles,and a tiny miniature room,various
boxes,and porcelains. A bisque dollhouse
mother,and the bisque maid are in the room
watching over the little bisque girl who sits in
the high chair. Very good condition,some paper
wear. The furnishings were made in the workshops
of De Petrus Ragout of Netherlands,circa 1890.
