Description
21" (53 cm.) l. x 13"h. x 9"d. The wooden framed store has unusual open sides with scallop-shaped shelving that is accessible from both the sides and front. The front counter is attached to the two tall cabinets on either side,and there is a wall of built-in shelving at the back wall with eight spice drawers having porcelain labels and porcelain knobs,a center display niche with mirrored back and several open shelves. The green painted finish is edged with cream and accented with gold columns,and there is a cloth awning at each of the windows. The shop is well-laden with candy jars,candies,dishes of treats,cast iron scale and other accessories,and there is a bisque head lady with pale blonde hair in attendance. Germany,attributed to Gottschalk,circa 1915.
