5 1/2" (14 cm.) h. tureen. Of fine white porcelain with acorn-shaped finials on lids,decorated with pale green borders and gold pencil stripes,the service includes footed lidded tureen,two footed compotes,two sauce dishes with attached under-trays,large bowl,two oval platters,large service dish,shallow footed bowl,two relish dishes,six soup bowls,and 11 dinner plates. Along with a pewter cutlery service for six including 5 1/2" bone-handled knives,spoons and forks,in original red lined box. And with a bisque lobster figural box. Excellent condition,few tiny chips. French,circa 1880.
