14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on bisque shoulder plate,blue enamel glass inset eyes with pronounced black pupils,painted features,closed mouth with center accent line,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips,knees,and elbows,stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent,tiny flake at front crown rim with original firing or hairline (under wig),body very sturdy. Marks: L. Depose 1 D. Comments: Louis Doleac,circa 1875. Value Points: the rare signed poupee with distinctive regal facial modeling of the Doleac poupee,is wearing her original ivory silk ensemble,undergarments,leather boots marked "1".
