Description
7" (18 cm.) The winter sleigh with
beautifully-curved sides is resting upon a cast
brass sleigh base with ornate crest; the tin is
painted bronze-gold with scenes of flowers,winged
cherubs on clouds,and garland borders,and the
interior is lined with plum velvet,from a series
of similarly-decorated miniature furniture whose
original purpose was as jewelry or watch
display,yet perfectly-scaled for display with
small dolls. Very good condition,one side has
paint loss. French,circa 1880,the sleigh being a
rare variation from the series.
