Description
15" (38 cm.) x 9" box. 4" carafe. A light-wood box
with Art Nouveau decorative paper covers has
original label on lid "Service Faience,Fabrique
Francaise,CBG" with references to Medaille'Or
awards at the 1889 International Exposition. The
box hinges open to reveal well-fitted
contents,primarily creamy faience with designs of
flowers and leaves encircles,by blue and gold
borders,along with rare teal blue glassware
comprising two footed compotes,carafe,four
goblets,serving plate and two small bowls,with
cutlery,napkins,and menu cards. Very good,unplayed
with condition items still tied with rose silk
ribbons in original box,albeit a bit dusty,few
minor rough edges on glassware. Cuperly,Blondel &
