Description
15" (38 cm.) h. x 25"l. x 15"d. A wooden-framed
two-room butcher shop has original cream and green
painted facade and exterior walls,single
multi-paned side window,originally painted
interior walls with a ceiling border of pigs,and
original paper flooring. The shop is fitted with
attached shelving on three walls supporting metal
racks with meat hooks. There are three additional
cabinets and a front counter and chair. The
shelves are laden with tinned foods and stoneware
jars of labeled foods,and suspended from the racks
are a vast number of cuts of meat,each of paper
mache with painted and waxed finish. There are
scales,cash register,slicers,and other tools,and a
bisque woman and man with moustache stand in
attendance. The waxed meats are extremely rare.
Shop is in fair/good condition,unrestored. The
contents are excellent. Germany,circa 1900.
