Description
3" (8 cm.) h. tea pot. 15" x 10" box. A light-wood
box with blue paper cover and gold stenciled
lettering "The Service" (Tea Service) hinges open
to a velvet lined interior with original
arrangement of silver metal tea service for six of
great luxury,each piece with richly-embossed
detail. The service includes lidded teapot,lidded
sugar,creamer,six cups,six saucers,six dessert
plates,six spoons,six napkins,and a gold-plated
sugar tong. The box bears the maker's initials
S.G. with shield mark. Excellent unplayed with
condition. French,circa 1890.
