25" (64 cm.) l. x 14"h. x 4"d. The wooden framed one-room kitchen has five-sided walls with one multi-paned window in the Gottschalk construction style,white painted frame and exterior,original wall and floor papers,the wall paper simulating Dutch tiles with ceiling border of a Dutch-costumed girl giving her doll yarn to wind. The kitchen is furnished with matching cupboard,sideboard,work table and two chairs having light cream finish to simulate pine wood,There is a wire-screen door pie safe at the back,a hanging wooden rack with kitchen utensils and a tin stove with brass doors and original pots and chimney. Accessories include a wood-framed tin scale,meat grinders,clock,tin wall sink,wooden hanging towel rack with porcelain labels,wire onion rack,tin trash bucket "Abfalle" with lid,various porcelain jars and dishes including labeled sardine container,a basket of chickens whose heads are peeking out of the basket they are resting in,and a wooden egg rack with the eggs the chickens have aid. Contents excellent,room has wear at caps of corner posts and floor frame,wonderful original wall paper with some paper rubs. Germany,probably Gottschalk,circa 1920.
