20" (51 cm.) Modeled socket head with very full cheeks and tiny nose, original tan complexion (at sides and back of head) with shaded amber/tan coloring on face, tiny downcast painted brown eyes with heavy eyelids, thick black upper eyeliner, white eye shadow, coral-painted lips of closed mouth, black human hair wig, textured cloth body with jointing at shoulders and side hips, flat fingers and well-defined thumbs. Condition: generally excellent, complexion shading may be fading from light exposure although it is actually quite pleasing. Comments: Sasha Morgenthaler studio, mid-1960s. Value Points: rare model with distinctive painting of eyes, original silk kimono, white under-kimono, peach sash, lace trimmed drawers.
