9" (23 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of young black-complexioned pageboy, black sculpted tightly-curled short hair, enamel eyes, closed lips, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted red slippers and brown stockings, wearing original costume comprising silk shirt and matching lined jacket with pagoda style sleeves, silk harem pants, and carrying a silver double-handled urn. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
