22" (56 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with
sculpted black hair in long ringlet curls tucked
behind her sculpted ears,black enamel eyes,painted
lashes and brows,accented nostrils,closed
mouth,muslin stitch-jointed body with stitched on
and painted brown gloves,antique silk
dress,undergarments,stockings,shoes. Condition:
original finish is well-preserved except
horizontal separation across the lower back
shoulder plate. Comments: Germany,circa 1860.
Value Points: very charming face,with rare glass
eyes and ringlet curls,rare original body with
sewn-on gloves.
