Description
8" (20 cm.) doll. 10" clock. Bisque shoulder head
doll with brown glass eyes,painted features,closed
mouth,blonde mohair wig,muslin body with bisque
lower legs,painted shoes and socks,wearing blue
silk dress with embroidered
pinafore,undergarments,woven bonnet,marked
41,excellent condition . Along with a tall case
clock with porcelain face,and painted scenes of
ocean,country side,and windmill (one hand
missing,unknown if working). The doll,presented as
Alice in Wonderland,was considered a symbol of the
De Kleine Wereld Museum,and fittingly closes the
auction,along with clock to mark the hour. Circa 1900.
