14" (36 cm.) l. x 8" (assembled) x 10"d. Sold in
this original box which is designed to serve as
room walls and floor,the one-room salon has two
glass windows with original pink satin curtains
and lace inserts,original printed wall-paper with
faux-wood grain wainscoting,fireplace with rose
sateen cover and attached clock shelf,and matching
mahogany-finished furniture including upright
piano,jardiniere with moss and flowers,turtle-top
parlor table,settee and four matching chairs with
rose sateen upholstery. Along with an ormolu plant
stand,two other potted flowers,clock (missing
paper face) with figural lady at the crest,two
silver candlesticks,two matching paper-framed
mirrors and a paper framed print. Good
condition,with fading,age wear,box worn.
French,circa 1875,the box lid bears the
hand-written name of the original child owner,Mlle
Emilie Bonnarilet.
