Description
32" (81 cm.) l. x 13"h. x 14"d. The two room
dollhouse has original cream-painted facade with
gold accented columns,gray painted exterior,and
original wall and floor papers in the interior. A
double door with rich paneling and Gottschalk
silver handle on the parlor side opens between the
rooms. The larger room has two back-wall windows
with brass rods and lace curtains,and is furnished
with a Gottschalk parlor set having mahogany-like
finish with gold accents,comprising luxury
one-piece settee set in wooden frame with mirror
and cabinets,table,two upholstered arm
chairs,jardiniere; the matching dessert
buffet,matching silk upholstered settee and chair
and several small tables are in the adjoining
Christmas-themed room. Accessories include two
ceramic parlor stoves,soft metal gilt jardiniere
with potted flowers,mantel clocks,glassware,ormolu
accessories,and,a rare framed shadowbox of
miniature butterflies that hangs on the wall. A
decorated Christmas tree centers the smaller room
along with a miniature holiday-decorated house,a
nativity scene,and a bounty of Christmas toys
including Erzebirge wooden toys,dolls,spinning top
and more. A fine gilt-metal framed print hangs on
the back wall,and there are other prints and
mirrors. Three small bisque children play in the
Christmas room along with their Papa,while in the
parlor are three dollhouse adults. Very good
played with condition,parlor wall paper and
Christmas room floor papers are especially
