30" (76 cm.) h. without table. 55" with table. 45"
length. 24" d. A large one-room kitchen with two
back windows has original worn frame paint and
exterior papers (split on back wall between
windows),and original floor paper to simulate
tiles,and half-wall paper with blue Delft tile
design. A large Maerklin stove with brass oven
doors and original nickel kitchen pots stands in
the middle of the room,and there are two large
white cupboards (one with painted glass lower
panels),a smaller wooden table and chairs designed
for the use of the doll's doll. The room is
generously filled with rare kitchen
accessories,including hanging shelf with pewter
cups,blue and white Delft porcelain
canisters,early stoneware pottery,collection of
tin and earthenware pudding molds,enamel
sieves,brass scale,coffee grinder,set of wooden
decorated tubs,set of enamel cups,saucers and
coffee pot,oil lamp,onion bag with wire frame and
more. Standing in the kitchen is a German bisque
doll marked 1902 3/0 with blue glass sleep
eyes,brunette braided wig,and antique cotton
pinafore costume. The kitchen rests upon its
original table with center drawer and original
paint-grained finish to simulate wood. Good
condition,with play wear. Germany,circa 1890,the
grand size of the kitchen suggests its original
exhibition purpose or deluxe nature.
