Description
29" (74 cm.) l. x 12"h. 10". The two-room doll
house has original white-painted frame and
exterior,two back-wall windows and an opening door
between the rooms. The wall and floor papers are
original,and the house is furnished with two early
sets: in the bedroom are twin beds,two night
stands,and a large armoire of mahogany-finish
woods with medallion light-wood inlays; and in the
living room is a mahogany-finished ensemble in
fine Empire style with gold accents and metallic
gold wreath and garland appliques,including tall
mirror with shelf,grand buffet,dessert
buffet,library table,settee and two chairs.
Accessories include parlor stove,potted
flowers,curtains with brass rods,bear rug,framed
pictures,metal mantel clock,tin baby
carriage,various soft-metal pieces including
cutlery holder. Four miniature dolls people the
house,including rare bald-head Grandpa. Very
good/excellent condition with original papers ad
paint having typical play aging. Germany,circa 1900.
