Description
31" (79 cm.) . x 16" x 17". The large one-room
wooden kitchen is brightly-papered with sea-blue
and pale yellow checkered wall-paper,that is
accented with wide floor and ceiling borders
depicting garden and farmyard scenes including a
kneeling gnome offering flowers to a bunny,and
with contrasting lattice-patterned floor papers.
The wooden frame has natural finish,and the
exterior has faux-brick paper cover. There is a
large window at the back with original cornice and
the kitchen has its original furnishings including
a long work counter with windowed base,tall narrow
cupboard,hanging plate rack,buffet,hanging spice
rack,bench,table with drawer and two chairs,each
with original cream paint accented with blue
stripes. The tin stove with chrome surface and
original lidded pots and stove pipe stands at the
back,and the kitchen contains a grand assortment
of rare accessories including tin coffee
grinder,wire pie cover,rare wooden-handled
iron,copper tea pot,tin wall sink,stenciled tin
lunch bucket,wooden towel rack with porcelain
labels,wooden laundry tub with wringer,glass cake
cover,and numerous porcelain dishes and spice
jars. A bisque doll with original house maid's
costume stands at the back. Germany,circa 1910.
